2	Buck Cemetery is located in Van Buren township at the intersection of county roads 300 E and 850 S. Thomas and Elizabeth Buck, the namesakes of the cemetery are buried there. The Bucks were pioneers from Pennsylvania and Ohio, who came to the area in the 1830's. On October 14, 1839, Thomas bought 160 acres, Section 25, in what was then Beaver Township. Buck Cemetery is located on the southeast corner of that land. Members of the Buck Cemetery Association, friends, and descendants of those buried in there gathered at the cemetery on Sunday, October 19, 1997, for its dedication. The purpose was to recognize the contributions of John and Esther Moyer and Thomas and Elizabeth Buck. The original Buck deed was for an acre of ground. In May 1925 the cemetery trustees deeded it to the township trustee. Another 1/2 acre was deeded from the Mather Estate to enlarge the cemetery. This cemetery was last updated Summer of 2023.
